Erin Padilla is the director of arts programming at the Chehalem Cultural Center. Erin began her current body of work while studying in the Medieval Italian hill-town of Orvieto during the spring of 2012.

Surrounded by masterpieces of art from all ages and seeking to fully embrace the experience of my study abroad, I began thinking about relationships – between past and present, new friends and old, new world and old world - and began working on a series of abstract prints, paintings, and sculptures that explore the concept of the ‘embrace.’
