Gil Reynolds

"Sharing our individual sense of beauty is the responsibility of every artist." says Internationally recognized author, educator, inventor and artist, Gil Reynolds. With commissions as far away as Dubai and as local as the Allison Inn and Spa, Reynolds has spent the last 50 years, discovering and sharing his personal vision. Trained to paint stained glass church windows in the early 1970's, he went on to pioneer the kiln formed art glass movement. He wrote "The Fused Glass Handbook" in 1986 and traveled the world lecturing, consulting and teaching cutting edge glass techniques. He invented specialized equipment and products that are now mainstream industry staples while establishing himself as a highly respected artist. Specializing in site specific commissions, he excelled at blending architectural motifs, lighting, colors and visual moods into unique works that are both appropriate and beautiful.

His work deals with universal themes in ways that are accessible and revealing. It is his ability to connection with both nature and his audience that sets him apart. Reynolds says, "I walk in the woods as often as I can. It is my inspiration and my library. Everything I need to know about my sense of beauty is there if I am willing to see and listen.
