Kathleen Jones lives in Newberg, Oregon, in the heart of the beautiful Willamette Valley. She draws inspiration from nature and hiking throughout the Northwest. Artists that have influenced her the most include Gerhard Richter and Claude Monet. Kathleen attended George Fox University, majoring in Studio Arts and she has also taken art classes sporadically throughout the years. Her paintings are displayed locally at the Allison Inn & Spa, Providence Newberg Hospital, Newberg Gallery, and Yamhill’s Gallery. She has also shown at Rouge Blanc, various businesses for First Friday Artwalk, and La Bella Casa.
I’ve been an artist all my life, working in a variety of media. These include stained glass and mosaics (which I also taught), drawing, pottery, photography, set design, and interior, landscape, and floral design. When I started painting in oils, I felt I had found the medium which most defines me.
