"Here I spent some time drawing El Greco's 'Disrobing of Christ' (1579) at the Cathedral of Toledo. I find it helpful to just concentrate on one good and wonderful thing. Sometimes I can see so much I feel like I didn't really look at anything. I aimed to be playful and gestural with my approach. The collaged figure is made of material found along the way in Spain (and our Hostel in Madrid called 'The Hat')."
