"The landscape was drawn of the view from the roof of our youth hostel in Madrid. The bird is a carving from the Monastery of San Juan de Los Reyes (in Toledo, Spain), and the dog is from Italian Mannerist painter Jacopo Tintoretto's painting of the washing of the disciples' feet that I was geeked out about when I finally got to see it in person at the Prado Museum in Madrid".
