Loni’s passion for art started as a young girl. Loni loved to draw and spent many hours with sketchbook in hand. She was fortunate to have several opportunities to travel around the world and experience art with her mother, who encouraged her to pursue her own creativity.

After graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Art from Oregon State University, Loni created and sold her own pastel work while enjoying a career in gallery sales and management at the Lawrence Gallery at Salishan, and at the Carole Smith Gallery in Salem.

While raising her children on the family homestead, Loni began teaching art literacy in public and private schools as a volunteer. Loni believes that art saves lives and it is a basic need/right for everyone. Thus she has dedicated her life to giving opportunities for others to have access to art and culture. Places like the Chehalem Cultural Center, a center she helped start over ten years ago, as well as ART Elements Gallery, are proof to her commitment and dedication.

She now uses her creative talents to transform historical buildings into new usable spaces for unique business opportunities with a fresh contemporary look while maintaining respect for the legacy of the past. From spatial design, color palettes, furnishings, and ultimately artwork consulting, Loni can assist with any size project.

Loni’s personal collection is an eclectic mix of found treasures from her travels as well as abstract and landscape paintings.

Brenna Brutscher grew up in Salem, Oregon, before moving to Newberg in 2012 to attend George Fox University. She studied Studio Art and Spanish for four years, exploring oil painting in particular. During and before her college experience, Brenna had the opportunity to travel to countries such as Spain, Switzerland, and Rwanda, all of which have impacted her love of art, cultures, and travel. Having just graduated from George Fox, she now spends her free time reading books, wandering through coffee shops, and painting.

Maureen is a lifelong resident of Newberg and a lover of the arts and culture. She graduated in May 2016 from Wheaton College in Chicago with a B.A. in Art History and supporting credits in Urban Studies. In addition to leading Wheaton’s independent arts club, Maureen also interned at a well-known Chicago art gallery, Hilton-Asmus Contemporary. In her free time, she enjoys film photography, hiking, and spending time in downtown Portland.

Ryan is ART Elements Gallery's and LLP Properties’ master craftsman. Ryan has been working with Loni for over eight years renovating homes and businesses like the Lions Gate Inn, Vineyard Ridge, the Lake House, Anam Cara's tasting room, Recipe, Pulp & Circumstance, and Nikki Jane’s.

In 2009 Ryan renovated all of ART Elements Gallery. Ryan's extreme attention to detail and precision also has given him the title of Gallery Hangman. Each month Ryan comes in before an opening to hang the gallery after Loni and Lauren place the art. Ryan is a woodworker and fills his home with hand-made furniture. He is a passionate organic farmer and musician.

Lauren Wylie is a native Oregonian with a degree in Communications and a minor in Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin. She and Loni opened the Gallery in 2010. Lauren is a multi-talented addition to the Gallery team and handles all of ART Elements marketing. Lauren’s personal art collection is filled with modern and abstract art, especially from emerging artists, her own artwork, and her favorite ART Elements artists’ work.

Sarah Askins graduated with a degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Interior & Fashion Design from George Fox University. She started working with Loni and her team in 2009 as an intern for hospitality venues, and came to the ART Elements team shortly after the Gallery opened in 2010.

Key strengths added to the team include inventory management, assisting in spatial design, a creative flair for devising displays and exhibitions, and strong communication and people skills.

Sarah loves representing the abundantly talented local artists and seeing their work evolve as life and inspirations change.

Sarah’s personal collection contains an array of abstract, modern, and whimsical pieces.
